While I’d love to take credit for being some kind of a world class SEO expert, most of what I do for both our client websites, and our own projects, is based on the extensive recommendations and daily tracking that SEMRush offers in their powerful toolsets.
And that’s exactly why I’d recommend others to sign up for SEMRush and do the same. While you do have to interpret the data and make the changes to your site(s) yourself, SEMRush gives you the information and guidance you need to be successful.
Their SEO monitoring tools have been an invaluable resource for our websites for well over a year now, providing us with practical ideas for improving our SEO strategy, identifying hidden onsite errors that might be holding our search positions back, and, most importantly, giving fantastic insight into what SEO strategies our competition are implementing.
With keyword ranking fluctuating on a daily basis, it’s important to track your individual positions and compare them to the changes you’ve made in your on and offsite SEO strategies. SEM Rush’s keyword position monitoring tool allows you to easily do just that, displaying all of your positions in one simple chart, which then compares to who you’ve identified as being competition.
The SEO Industry’s Little Secret: A lot of them are just using SEMRush.
When we’ve had clients who wanted a little extra help in the SEO department, we’ve often looked to outsource to an SEO specialist to have an “all hands on deck” approach.
On more than several occasions, those “SEO specialists” just gave us proposals rebadged from the reports that SEMRush generates (fun fact: the lazy ones even left the giant “INSERT LOGO HERE” on the cover page).
Tell us something we don’t already know, please.
It even is a little game for me when I them. I’ll see how many actually get back to me after I explain to them that we extensively used SEMRush and are looking for any help improving our SEO strategy by doing things that we aren’t already doing.
And how many pass that simple test?
Let’s just say there is a reason we still use SEMRush instead of paying an SEO specialist as much as $10,000 a month (per site) to do the same things.
And with packages ranging from $99 – $399, it’s certainly worth you first seeing if SEO is something you can do on your own with SEMRush’s guidance before looking elsewhere.
